Sacramento. Saturday, October 4, 5:00 - 7:00pm. Tickets go on sale 7/15.
Limited to 100 princesses and their guests. $45 per person. Princesses

Princess For A Day Grand Prize (Drawing
Sunday, noon at Castle Stage, Promenade EXPO) All registered riders are automatically entered to win the Princess
For A Day Grand Prize which includes a mini-shopping spree and spa
day in Folsom, courtesy of Folsom Tourism. Increase your chances to win
by purchasing additional raffle tickets from WEAVE volunteers on ride
day. (Proceeds benefit WEAVE).
Costume Contest (Judging Sunday, noon
at Castle Stage, Promenade EXPO)
What kind of Princess are you? Warrior Princess? Hawaiian Princess? Mermaid
Princess? For ideas, see "Princess" Wikipedia listing. If you
forget your costume, we will have costume apparel available for purchase
at the ride to get you in the Princess spirit! Prize will be awarded based
on "Applause-O-Meter" which measures the loudest applause.
Oldest Bike Contest (Judging Sunday, noon at Castle
Stage, Promenade EXPO)
Dust off your old bike and ride in the Princess Promenade! Just make sure
you get a bike-check from one of our bike sponsors before the big event.
Our bike sponsors will judge the Oldest Bike Contest and award a prize
to the winner!
Most Eclectic Rider (Judging Sunday, noon at Castle
Stage, Promenade EXPO)
Yes, we want some interesting riders out there! Do you have a Varoom Hot-Rodder
Engine on your bike? How about a sissy bar? Daises in your spokes? Playing
cards with clothespins on the wheels? Let's get CRAZY! Prize will be awarded
based on "Applause-O-Meter" which measures the loudest applause.
Event
fee includes event, all food and beverage at rest stops, and the post-ride
meal.
Pre-registration is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Wrist
band required to enter Comfort Stations for refreshments, lunch, and
ride support.
No refunds, transfers, or credits.
If
unable to ride, you may donate your entry to the Virtual Rider Program
and help someone in need. Sorry, no refunds.
Average temperature in October is 78 degrees. Ride
will be held rain or shine.
All participants will be required to sign of a waiver of liability.
Riders 18 and under must have a parent or guardian sign a release form.
ANSI or
Snell approved helmets are mandatory. You should carry a spare tube,
patch kit, tire pump, cell phone, and identification.
Emergency
SAG rider support provided. Please cycle within your limits for safety.
Tandem riders register for two people. Children under 5 years in trailers
or bike seat FREE.
Brunch/Lunch
will be served from 10:30am to 3:00pm (Extra lunch tickets available
for $10)

ride!
Course closes at 3:00pm
Ride Start/Finish: Discovery Park, Sacramento, CA
Check in Saturday 4-6 p.m. or Sunday morning at Discovery Park. Ride
morning Check-in area opens at 6:30 a.m. and closes at 9:30 AM. You will
receive a wrist band and bike number which will get you on the course,
lunch, and the Promenade EXPO. All courses are out and back except the
JP Princess Challenge. A special commemorative gift will be awarded to
you when you return to the finish line back at Discovery Park near Historic
Old Sacramento.
Start Sequence:
Riders will start in the following order:
JP Princess Challenge 74 mile starts between 7:00-7:30am
Double Di 60 mile starts between 7:45-8:00am
Lady Di 30 mile starts between 8:15-8:30am
Princess Grace 15 mile starts between 8:45-9:00am
Princess Jasmine 5 mile starts between 9:15- 9:30am
Promenade 5k Walk starts at 9:30am
Directions to Discovery Park (a historic gold mine site!)
From San Francisco Bay Area: Take Highway 80 toward Sacramento
Take I-5 North To Richards Blvd. Exit LEFT under the freeway. Make a RIGHT
on Jibbon Lane.
Park Entrance is straight ahead 1/2 mile. State Parking fees required
at ranger station. Proceed over bridge (look at the view!) to RIGHT end
of the park. Start is near the bridge on the paved bike trail at Mile
Marker 0.

Rules of the Road:
We are guests of the area. This ride takes place on the scenic American
River Bike trail. Each litter bit will show up against this beautiful
backdrop. Drop nothing, even if it is biodegradable. Please stop at all
stop signs, ride single file, and obey the rules of the road. And remember
your cycling etiquette!
